Creative 4.1 Speakers Review

If you guys have reached this page, then I guess you are thinking about purchasing a woofer system for your PC. Well, since I had gone through this dilemma before, I though I could be of some use to you guys by helping you'll decide. This is purely my opinion and I'm sorry if anybody feels otherwise.

I had to do loads of research about speaker system gives the best performance for its price before I purchase one.Finally I purchased Creative M4500 speakers. And I must say, that I am very much satisfied with the product.

My Experience

At first, I placed all the four speakers and the woofer just beside my monitor. I used it in that way for around 3 months. But still I could feel the surround effect. I thought it was good enough.

But after a while, I felt what is the use of purchasing a 4.1 when you don't take advantage of it. Then,I set up the speakers on four corners of my room.(It comes with wall mount, so that should be easy.) Although, the wires provided were not long enough to get it to the farther end of the room, you will easily find an extension wire for it in any of the electronic shops.

After setting it up, I just played a song to test how it feels. And believe me, I was really amazed by the surround effect. I did not expect that it would sound so great if you are surrounded by speakers in your room. It was no match for the way I was using it for the first 3 months. I suggest you to set up the speakers in all corners of your room, as that is the best way to take advantage of the 4.1 speakers.

Movie experience on these speakers is great. All the sounds are heard very clear and from the correct speaker.

Gaming experience is also excellent. For instance, when you play counter strike, you can hear the person following you from the correct speaker/ from the correct direction. That really feels great.

Pricing

Coming to its price in India, I stay in Hyderabad. It costs Rs 2,200/- (As of March 2009).

Conclusion

If you are looking for a cheap set of surround sound speakers that offer great performance, then Creative M4500 is the best. Go for it guys.
